About our work:

Utilising artists from a wide range of different cultures and genres of music - singers, drummers, musicians, dancers, dj’s and music technologists - Drum Runners tailor make workshops, projects and performances.

We work with schools (all ages), colleges, work places, immigration removal centres, community groups, youth clubs, special needs groups, SureStart centres, local authorities, theatres, voluntary organisations, festivals, police authorities, health authorities, sports centres and clubs, arts centres and housing associations.
We always encourage cross community partnerships.



Our current projects:

Basingstoke Live Festival – providing events management for Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council’s annual live music festival.

MID (Music in Detention) – providing monthly workshops and community exchanges in and around Immigration Removal Centres in both Gosport and Bedford with a wide range of artists. Supported by the national charity MID (www.musicindetention.org.uk)

SureStart – providing weekly series of both singing and percussion workshops for under 5’s and their families.

Delivered over 900 Workshops/Performances in the last three years working with all ages and abilities.



Currently developing ;

“Chantras” (Community Songs and Rhythms)  for Percussion Ensembles.

“Sambuka Shout Band” Samba and Middle Eastern rhythms combined with Brass instruments.



Founder Member of the Award Winning Drum Runners – a Community group combining the rhythm and energy of the Local Arts Communities.
