About our work:

Utilising artists from a wide range of different cultures and genres of music - singers, drummers, musicians, dancers, dj’s and music technologists - Drum Runners tailor make workshops, projects and performances.

We work with schools (all ages), colleges, work places, immigration removal centres, community groups, youth clubs, special needs groups, SureStart centres, local authorities, theatres, voluntary organisations, festivals, police authorities, health authorities, sports centres and clubs, arts centres and housing associations.
We always encourage cross community partnerships.

Our current projects:

MID (Music in Detention) – providing monthly workshops and community exchanges in and around Immigration Removal Centres in both Gosport and Bedford with a wide range of artists. Supported by the national charity MID (www.musicindetention.org.uk)

SureStart – providing weekly series of both singing and percussion workshops for under 5’s and their families.

Paul Midgley from Drum Runners is currently working with several groups to bring together one of the biggest street sounds we are going to hear in Basingstoke this year.

Learn some carnival style rhythms and join in with the drumming or giant glowing hula hoops!

We are looking for more children, parents, groups and individuals to take part in what will be a colourful and exciting spectacular. If you cannot take part in the Workshops then bring along pots and pans on the 1st August to join in at 7pm with the rest of the band rehearsing for the Parade.
